Wanstead High School Engagement

MetEngage Positive News Post

On Thursday 22 October, officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team - Wanstead Park SNT along with Churchfields SNT delivered an engaging and informative school intervention at Wanstead High School for hundreds of students ranging from Year 7 to Year 10.

PCSO Zimnikov, PC Haider, PC Donaghy, PC Kapoor, and PC Guiney worked together to deliver presentations focused on two important topics affecting young people and their families: knife crime awareness and fraud prevention. The sessions aimed to educate students about the risks, consequences, and warning signs associated with these issues, while encouraging positive decision-making and personal safety.

The engagement was received overwhelmingly positively, with students showing excellent participation throughout the presentations. The level of engagement demonstrated the importance of early education and open conversations around these topics, helping young people make informed choices and stay safe.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the school leadership team, teachers, and staff at Wanstead High School for their support, organisation, and warm welcome. Their commitment to safeguarding and educating young people made the event a great success.

The Metropolitan Police remains committed to working closely with schools and local communities to build trust, raise awareness, and support the next generation.
